POETRY AND THE SEA
A Poem For The Beach
The last rays of the day linger softly, warming the sand beneath our feet.
Illuminating our skin, magical, golden; salt stinging our eyes, but we cannot stop looking for this is perfection.
Hunting for treasure in the rock pools left on the beach, a stray crab scurries to the safety of its home, disappearing into a tiny hole, the hole fades.
Like the day…
We are windswept, full of wonder, a part of this flawless scene. Idyll, hazy, calm.
And we wait for this to end, the stillness, soon it will come.
