Monotony

A poem

Credit Anouska Parr

When everything is the same
So much more than routine
Each day there is no change
We wait
Nothing new

Patterns are mingling
Intertwined, a blur
No difference
Still, we wait
What should we do?

What has become of our world?
The vibrancy has faded
Desaturated, broken

Let’s create a new place
Fill it with colour, love and peaceful words spoken

We can go now
Let us go now.
